Community Alliance SA launch

Development is coming to our suburbs faster than we can respond
The State Government 30-Year Plan and the North West Corridor Plan contain some good visionary aspects as well as serious concerns. The 30-Year Plan is going to be mainly the responsibility of each local government council to manage within their boundaries. WACRA and 15 other resident action groups have formed Community Alliance SA, an incorporated organisation officially launched on Sunday 27 November 2011. We believe that strength in numbers has the potential to make changes to the various acts and regulations relating to development.

Pasta Night

Guest speaker Dr Angelique Edmonds shared her thoughts on ‘Planning our living environment’. Angelique is a lecturer at the University of South Australia.Trained as an architect, Angelique has particular interest in community participation in the decision-making process regarding our shared living environments.

Tennyson Dunes Open Day

Adelaide’s most significant pre-European coastal dunes were featured in a guided walk by the dedicated Tennyson Dunes Group volunteers.

SALA Living Artists Exhibition

WACRA, in conjunction with Hindmarsh Greening, Residents Inner North West, St Clair Residents Association and the Kaurna Community, and supported by the City of Charles Sturt, presented a 3-part exhibition at the City Charles Sturt Civic Centre.

Coorong Mullet BBQ Dinner
